has anyone experienced a sparkplug blowing out of the head due to the plugs being overtorqued???? my bro also has a 99GT and was experiencing some rough performance, and after getting gas, fired the beast up and a plug came exploding out of the head. after taking it in to the factory(he has a full extended waranty) they dissassembled the engine only to find that the plug had warped the piston and ruined the head. ford claims the aftermarket plugs were not installed correctly and resulted in the detonation. ford claims it is not under warranty and wants $3600 to fix or put new engine in. the plugs were in the car when he purchased it and no one informed him of the swap. anyone who can help or that has gone through this please let me know

that's BS, Unless the plugs are not the correct heat range. It doesn't matter what brand of plugs you use as long as they are the correct thread and same heat range. They can't void your warranty because you bought a different kind of plug other than motorcraft.
