Putting in some 3.73's in a few days and I am confused. I know you guys have had this ? about 100 times, I searched through most of them. But i have been getting mixed input from all the posts. The speedcal is $100 from steeda :bang: , how much more should it be to have the shop thats puttin in the gears flash the chip  and will this correct all the problems? Or is there another way entirely that i could go about this?

if your car is a 5-speed, pull the computer and ship it to Tim at T&J for a reflash. It'll cost ya $75 plus shipping! Brother's Performance offers the SpeedCal for $84.99 shipped and Dallas Mustang is (or was recently on sale for) $89.00 plus shipping. The reflash method eliminates the need for a separate electronic box (Speedcal) to mount.

If you have a 99+ auto, you can not use a Speedcal. You have the option of a new speedo gear (23-tooth gear) or you'll need a chip.
