I ran a map car with the vacuum line disconnected to it so that it wasn't getting the reading it needed and it still ran. Not well but it still ran. Usally when they are going or gone you start using tons of fuel becaus the computer goes into limp mode.

My 86 had a kinked vac line to the map sensor and the car ran real fat and when i stepped on the air pedal it would fall flat on its face then pick up.Replaced line with new and wow what a diff.I actually have a tester here at home with me,if you want you can send it to me and ill check it for ya.

The guys have you covered - it will default on the real rich side and can stink pretty decent.

Good luck.
