An adjustable regulator would be a good addition. You may also need to check the condition of your 02 sensors. The computer doesn't take readings and make adjustments to the AFR at WOT however, it does take information from idle and part power settings and extrapolate additions or subtractions to the WOT fuel table as it goes.

In other words: If while cruising down the road, your car runs 3% rich (average) across the power range then the EEC will subtract 3% from the injector pulse at WOT.

Are you still running the stock 19# injectors? If so, check the 02s. If you're running 24s, replace them with 19s or you need to do some either electronic or mechanical tuning wizardry in order to bring things back in line (I've tuned SD with 24s. It's a bit of a PITA).

If you're running 19s and go the route of an adjustable FPR then you'll need to make changes very slowly and run the car (drive) for a good while until it's where it needs to be. All of this will be a near impossible task unless you have the means to read/record your air fuel ratio or EGT.
