when my speedometer broke and was having trouble with gears to match rear end I put a digital dash board in. Only on big problem with the one i got. the odometer is not able to be set right. It resets once in a while and when i put a electric motor to it to run up to odometer that way it reset. other than that it has been pretty good. you might want to check on odometer adjustments before buying one

What year models are they? Are they both the same model, I'm assuming 87-93 Fox, so are they both 87-89 or 90-93? They are different, just wanted to make sure that was not the issue. You can swap out the individual components if you need to, the left two gauges, tach, speedo and the right two gauges are in 4 separate parts. If your old one worked, and just the needle was bad, I'd pull the needle off another cluster and put it on your old temp gauge.

they are both 140 mph speedo clusters

I sent them to the speedo shop in virginia I used before

Nationwide Car Radio Repair and Speedometer Repair i figured I would let them figure it out

theyll give me a 1 yr warranty on the complete cluster

awhile back i had an issue with a 140 speedo that i had put in my 88 .it came out of an 87 mustang that was being made for the track .when i installed it in to my 88 it would not work until i hit the dash with my hand and then it would jump up to whatever the speed i was going.would this issue be from the calibration possibly from a bigger rear end?and then going to a 3.08 rear end.

how much would something like this cost to fix ?i do have another one and these both came out of cars prior to 1990.i plan on doing a complete black interior upgrade on my 87 mustang with airbags and non tilt steering wheel.i know that sounds crazy but i don't like the look of the pre 1990 steering wheel.

i have 5 clusters and 2 have 140 speedos i guess i should hold on to them at those prices .it 's funny i have more than 10 of the foglight and emergency switches.i figure the way people are scrapping these cars these are going to jump up in price in the future.
