Can any body help, which pair of spindles should I use on my'65 for disc brakes, I'm not trying to restore the car, just the better/stronger spindles. Thanks.
The 65/66 drum and disc spindles are the same (I know you might have heard otherwise). I did the conversion last year. I was told numerous times they were different, but the're working on my car now.
I think you have pictured a set of 65/66 and a single 67 spindle. The difference between the two is the tie rod mounting area.
you beat me to it, yes the single spindle is a 70-up piece, you can tell by the larger diameter spindle pin. you'll need larger bearings but you'll also need different outer tie rods to use these spindles because they also use the larger/beefier tie rods as well.
