I have decided on the Spintech muff's. The sound I'm looking for is that nice cruise muff but one that will wake up a block if i get on it. I have 40 series slowmasters and want to be different this coming summer so which one of these muff's fit my needs I hate drone. i want a true sounding muscle car. This car will have a cam so Thankz for ur help

go with Pro Streets, they are the louder of the 2...off topic but what ive started to notice, around me anyway, is that flowmasters are rarely heard. Seems liek everyone is switching to tother brands and u hardly here flows. But i will say when u do here the off road H woth 2 chamber flows it does sound nice lol but i think i am going to either the prostreets or 1 chambers.

i'd say... if you can, go with the BBK LT's and DR Gas X (instead of the BBK X).

i'm running Bassani X (catted) with sportsman but i wish i ran a "true-x" instead of a chambered one. great sound from the spintechs but the rasp from the chambered X i could do without.

with those LT's you're going to get some great sounds!

Pro Street!!!

WHOA BUDDY!!!!!

FIRST of all the PRO STREETS are the louder of the two mufflers. I know. I have PRO STREETS on my car. They are very very loud. Hell its 28* here in Illinois and I was runnin around at lunch with my window down just so i could hear my exhaust (and piss off the teachers hahah). Like I said earlier they ARE LOUD. I have been getting hastled by a state cop that partols around our town b/c of them (long story).

SECOND: I have and off road H pipe with these mufflers and I think it sounds great. Its sound is similar to a flowmaster with an o/r H but better IMO. It is very deep and mean down low and when you stomp on it WOW. You had better hope there are no cops around b/c they will hear it from blocks away. But it does have a slight drone right at 70 mph - 2000 rpm. But hey if your running 70 which is already 15 over why not knock it up to 75 make better time and save your ears.

I am glad more people are discovering the sound and quailty of SPINTECH. They make a really great product that I am proud to say I have. Also I am not knocking the guys who have an X pipe, hell I would like to try one to see what it would sound like. But I dont need my car any louder than it already is. I already have state cops crawling all over my ass now.

Jo 885o: for Dr Gas you have to go directly to the source www.drgas.com. they're x-pipes are strictly weld in as far as i know. checkout the site. they are top rate.

i was going to go with the pro-streets but then my mechanic talked me out of it and into the sportsman. sportsman's are loud enough for me plus my mechanic advised that pro-streets would break some laws.

pro-streets are half the size of sportsmans. the sportsmans have 6 spin-traps where the pro-streets only have 3 (maybe 4). less traps = more sound!

Jo 885o - unfortunately i don't have anything but stock to compare to so all i can really say is that its louder than stock. i'd like to hear it along side some flows so i can give a better assessment.

at idle its a low grumble that i can hear from inside my house of office. i like having other people start my car while i sit inside my house so i can hear the startup. there's no popping just a low rolling rumble. i can even hear it in the shower. driving around there a definite exhaust note people hear me coming from 1/4 mile away (unless WOT and then its more like 1/2 mile through trees and valleys).

there's a drone at 2200-2400 but not that bad. with my 3:55's i'm beyond the drone point on the freeway (except for 5th).

at WOT its great! WOW! quite the roar. dropping from 5th to 4th and hitting the gas give a great intimidating "leave you in the dust/get off of my a$$" kind of sound.

93cobra12: just the fact that you're upgrading to LT's you're going to get a noticeable change to your exhaust note. probably a really nice deep tone. wow, 3" spintech sportsmans with a DrGas X. i'm thinking you're definitely going to be louder than your previous setup. are you running cats? i've never seen a flowtech X. is it chambered? or true-x?

when you get it done i'd love to hear it sometime! you wanna hear my spintechs before you get the job done?

I've got Pro Streets with an off-road H and no tailpipes. It's so loud that it literally wakes up my girlfriend's neighbors when I let it idle to warm up in her driveway at night. It has an awesome tone to it when you get on it. The drone is liveable. It's better than the 50 series Flowmaster on my Explorer. Just be warned that you will never ever be able to sneak up on anybody. A few weeks ago, my dad heard my car coming from close to a mile away.

My car is actually at brads custom auto right now.. i cracked my block like a month ago so im having dave bliss build me up something sweet :o) ... thats all i can say...

it would cost more money for them to weld cats on so there getting me VRS 3" x pipe w/ hi-flow cats.. So I now have hi flow cats.. I usually like to role around w/out cats cuz i love the sound.. but i heard a lot of good things about hi flow cats, how it increases your velocity and increases your tq numbers.. So im up for it... Theres a first time for everything.. Plus the fact that i took my smog pump out and i need something to help my emissions out..

DTAS , I would like to hear you exhaust, that'll be cool.. I already payed for it all but the only spintech i've ever heard was on there web page an sound clips i found on coral forums... But that would be cool..

DTAS, where do you get your parts from? I used to go to mikes mustang, but they went out of business.. Plus they didint do that great of a job on my car so im not too pleased with them :o/
