I got a teal 93 cobra.. My car has been there for a bit now.. They actually have another teal 93 cobra there, its cool to see my car around, I never see 93 cobra, especially in teal...

Hopefully in the beginning of next week towards the middle the short block is completed.. Then its back to brads for the install plus a Chit load of other goodies ! Cant wait !!!

What are your plans for your car? any?

I got the Pro-Streets, I say go for. I like letting the car rev down going down the road. Sounds sweet as hell.

i'm gonna see how far it can go on the current block...

next mods include cooling (desparately need a new radiator before summer) and brakes. not sure what brakes i'll upgrade to. will probably do springs and shocks with the brakes. lower and upper controll arms and finish my KB extreme matrix brace.

after that i'd like to add a lightbar and do a little cosmetics; new roof, new hood, pillar guages, maybe repaint (same color) with minor body work (fix some small scratches).

eventually (probably next year) i'd like to redo the entire intake, heads, cam.

after that then the LT's.

we'll see if i'm satisfied after all that. would like to get the HP up over 300.

on my old block i had an a extrude honed cobra intake, w/ 185 AFR heads, (Mikes mustang messed this up pretty bad) a crower cam 15512 w/ 1.7.. The specs on this cam is for 1.6, which is 222/228 duration @ 050, .496/.512 W/ the 1.6 R.R.. But since 93 cobra have 1.7 R.R my cams lift was .527/.544 , which is WAY too big for my 302, plus the 185 AFR heads are for 331 and up and i had that on my car, they had to shave my pistons, the valves were always smakin the pistons, you could tell when they took the motor apart.. ****ty job !! so i had those heads, that intake, that cam, w/ bbk shorties, flowtech x pipe ( from summit ) and two chamber flows and my car dynoed at 285 rwhp and 307 lb of tq.. It would get up after 3k rpm but anything below that it was a slug, so i threw in 3:73 gears an an aluminum flywheel and that helped a bit.. But damn it was a slug on the low end...

If i was to have the 165 AFR heads and that crower cam with the 1.6's .. Man that car would have hit 315 + no problem.. thats a good 302 combo...

sounds like i have a lot to learn (a lot of research) about heads and cams over the next year. either that or leave it all up to Brads. but i'd rather know what's going on and how.
