spreading the piston?

I have a 97 cobra and have never changed the brakes on it or on any other dual piston caliper for that matter, and a c-clamp is too big. Does anyone have any tips or know of any tools I could use?

my c-clamp goes right through one of the holes in the front of the caliper.

Can't you just compress the piston by putting your old brake pad on with the c-clamp centered beetween the dual piston, then tightening it.

A c-clamp worked on mine. I did put a socket in one of the holes before screwing down the clamp. Worked great. The fronts are easy after that. It's the rears that are a byatch. lol
