Ok so Im going to attempt to install my Sportline springs again this weekend. I attempted this a few weeks ago and was going to go the route of unbolting the front struts at the bottom instead of at the shock tower.
I wasn't able to unbolt the brake caliper at the main base (pic#1), because the top bolt is hard to get to and I couldnt get any torque on it to break it loose.
Now looking at the Mustangworld site and lame Haynes manual, I see that I can unbolt the caliper at the top of the caliper base (pic#2).
Any opinions on which way is better,,, I dont want to screw up the brakes and be stranded at home. Thanks for the help!!

Go route #1...

Muscle up.. put down the *pink* tools...you should be able to break that bolt loose

*Make sure you're turning it the right way, leftie loosie, righty tighty*

Edit: And unbolt the struts from the top, way easier.

Damn im 5'8 130 lbs and I did my whole suspension by myself, a breaker bar will be your friend for those caliper bolts. If your not replacing the struts then just unbolt it from the top, if you are replacing the struts then yah you need to unbolt from the bottom. Use method 1 and use a ratchet with a 15mm deep socket and you will have plenty of clerance then just put the breaker bar on the the end of the ratchet handle and it will come off.

I did the number 2 way from the mustang world write up.

Took about 4 hours total but if I did it again it would take maybe 2 hours.
