I'm just curious, I know my 87 Saleen has Specific rate springs but I'm curious if anyone knows what the rates are? Also I found a set of 91 Saleen progressive rate springs for a deal and I'm also wondering what the rates were for the 91 Saleens. Anyone know what the rates are for these two years? The specific rates are not very forgiving on rough roads so I'm considering changing to the progressive rate springs.

I have the progressives you speak of, and if you do get any better ride quality it won't be much.

I was told saleen never releases the rates on the springs to the public, guess its a big secret.

I did however get a better ride quality with high end shocks.

I use koni red adjustables up front (made a major difference when on the soft setting)
And qa1 12 way adjustable rears, they look awesome and the adjustability is simple and seems endless. Every time you turn the knob the car feels different.
I can even make the rear so tight it actually bounces around, or i can make it so loose you can bottom the rear out over the smallers bumps.

I've never heard of the QA1 12 way adjustable shocks. You have any info on them?

I'm in love with them. My buddy owns a shop and hooked me up with them, but even if i had to pay $140 a pop they are still well worth it.

They pretty much let you set them for any type of driving you want, from drag to road racing.

1987 thru 1989 Saleen's (excluding SSC's) had specific rate springs with a front rating of 650 lbs. and rear rating of 300 lbs. Great set-up if you live in a pothole free society. I'm not sure of the ratings following the 1989 model year???

I wish my SSC had progressive/variable rate springs. All of the 89's had specific rates. My 1990 had the softer springs and good shocks. That car rode a lot better over everything.
Every Fox body Mustang should have full length subframes. The car stops fighting the suspension and lets it do it's job.
