ok i was just wondering what is the difference between PROGRESSIVE and SPECIFIC lowering springs?? Also are the ford racing springs any good because i always hear about eibach and bbk n steeda.???

specific or constant rate spring compresses the same distance under the same load through it's normal range of travel.

progressive springs rate springs become stiffer has they are compressed. The springs increases progressivley as the load increases. the more it's compressed teh higher the load required to compress it further.

constant rate better for handling persay, ride suffers since there is no "compfort zone". progressive have a few softer coils in them to control road harshness before they stiffen up so they tend to be more "bouncy" but a good set of well dampened shocks will take care of this.

B & C springs are still decent as well has mach 1 and bullitt springs. Add caster/camber plates into the mix.

IMO use progressive rate eibach springs.
They give the best look for the car while improving handling quite a bit.

"B" springs are progressive, "C" springs are not. I actually run 2001 Bullitt springs, they give about a 3/4" drop the B's about an inch.
