I have a 88gt my motor has spun a bearing and I was wondering if I should keep the heavy weight motor oil in it since it has just turned cold outside. I have a new motor in the making but plan to drive this one till it blows what do yall suggest 20/50- 0/40 etc.....

What difference does that make? (oil viscosity). If you really have a spun bearing, your engine is already blown up and you should not be driving it! :Damnit:
 Yeah, the next step is that something will seize. Why permanently break something that can be somewhat repaired? This is a pretty bad post.............

Seriously. If the bearing spun, the oil passage is blocked and it will get hot, score the crank all to hell, stick and spin some more, wreck the block, and send alot of shrapnel everywhere inside. There isnt going to be alot of driving involved...

:nice: Spun Bearing = NEW or REBUILT MOTOR.
