Hi from Europe! First of all I want to say sorry for my English. My 1967 289 engine has been machined and fully rebuilt. It also has a new E-street topend kit from Edelbrock.
The problem. is that oil pressure is around 6PSI at hot idle. Bearings are +0.10 and new, oil pump is fresh new +20PSI melling one.. I also use 20/50 mineral oil, plugs seem to be there becouse without the valve covers a lot of oil is coming out from all the rockers at both sides.. Im very desperated am I missing something?
Thanks in advance!!

I would probably start with the oil pump and pickup installation.

Pull it all out, check all the orifices, re-install it with new gaskets.

I mean... It could be something dumb like a blob of sealant stuck in the pickup or an orifice or something.

Where do you have your gauge installed? Is it at the usual sensor location? Have you tried back-flushing that port? (with pump removed)

And as usual, I'll ping @horse sence for such things. What I know about your year is very general.

Strange you are getting oil at the top end with pressure that low . ,oil goes from the pump through the filter then through the crank cam bearings and then to the top end . Oil pressure is measured right beside the fuel pump you should have a very good reading right there . Is your pressure gauge that you are using good?
