Squeak in rear suspension of 1997 GT convertible

Pretty much at any speed going over any size of bump there is a squeak in the rear suspension. It started a few weeks ago, and is starting to get worse. Sometimes even when I'm driving on flat pavement there is a slight squeak.

Any ideas what it is/how much it will be to fix?

It's a long shot but you might want to check the rear sway bar bolts on the LCAs to make sure they're tight.

Mine loosened up and caused a squeak.

If the sound goes away when you hit the brake pedal, my vote is rotors and brake pads are glazed, and if you have the semi-metalic ceramic brake pads the noise is gonna get worst.

Is it dropped? Someone may have left the iso's out. If so, a little dab of grease will do the trick.

lower control arm bushings. This is what happened to mine. I switched to UPR lower control arms and the squeak went away. you should consider some poly urerthane bushings!

Yeah, it is dropped. Does anyone have a picture of where this stuff is?

put your hand on the rear control arms and get someone to push up and down on the rear of the car. If you feel vibration in the control arm, its the bushings

The isolators are a rubber donut that sits on top of the spring, and one under the base of the spring. Depending on your rims, you might just be able too look in and see if they're there. If not, remove a wheel and check.

Nope, pressing it pretty hard too.

They're there. I'm taking it to the dealership on the weekend, I'll report back what it was.

Hey man, I have a 96 GT very and mine squeaks while i am driving 90% of the time and when I brake it goes away. I just replaced the rotors and pads earlier this year and it is worse now than before. They were stock replacement rotors and pads. Any ideas on if its something other than a glaze on the rotors or how to fix? Thanks
