Well, the cobra is running again after a new fuel pump, but now I have this squeak comming from the engine. *sigh*
It only does it after it runs for about 15 minutes and it is spaced about a have second apart.
This is the 2nd belt i have put on this car. Original was covered in antifreeze from a cooling system flush from Jiffy Lube (don't ask), 1st one started squeeking about 3 months later, tried conditioner, brake ckeaner, wire brush, so i replaced it. Now this one has been on for about a year , but i only drove it for about 6 months out of that year. I put it on at the same time i changed the pullies.
What could be causing this? think i need to change out the tensioner?
PS The 1st replacement belt was advance auto, the 2nd belt was autozone.

I replaced my tensior with one from Autozone(50 dollars) and has held up fine. Also using a Dayco belt that is similar to the goodyear gatorback and is very quiet.

Sounds like the bearings in your tensioner pulley are going bad.

It's difficult to diagnosis a problem on a forum. Could be the bearings in the a/c pulley. My wife's GT is doing the same thing. First, it was real bad. Same thing with the a/c. Turn on the air and it went away. Came back the very next day. Changed the tensioner pulley. No more squeak for a while. Now it came back with a slight squeak this time. I'm starting to get ill with the quality Ford is putting on the streets nowadays.
