squeaking pullies in the morning!

how to fix this? when my car is cold.....it squeals for a good 10 minutes and the noise is embarrasing. ford had replaced my drivebelt awhile ago...and it made the problem worse...but is there sumthin i can just do to make it go away?

mine does the same thing i was going to try & mess with the tensioner tomorrow & see if i could make it go away by tightening it a bit

If the tensioner and pulley bearings are going to crap, you can replace those. The ones in mine were really dry and rough. You can get the bearings at any ol' Napa, or similar. Just drive them out with a punch, and hammer the new ones back in. Also, I've heard (now i'm not an expert) that Ford P/S pumps are notorious for putting out a high pitched squal. Mine does it on cold mornings often, until it gets warm, just as yours does. If none of this is the culprit, pleased disregard my nonsense.

I have the same problem with my underdrive pullies when they are cold

I bought a new belt and that fixed it for a few days and then, it came back, i seem like i am constantly tigtehning the tensioner! I dunno what the hell else to do!

Mine does the same thing in the morning and then goes away.

Its the serpentine belt. Ford obviously didnt do a good job. DO they ever? Ive never seen it if they have. Just get louder xhaust and turn up the radio, if anyone hears it tell them you just got a new blower
