My drivers side rear shock (I think its that atleast) squeaks whenever I go over a bump . I've only noticed this since it has become cold outside. I was wondering if there is anyway to fix this, beside replacing it completely. It seems to me a little early for shocks to be going bad considering my car only has 33,000 miles. My last stang had 150,000 miles, and never had a shock go bad.

I had a similar noise with mine. Mine wasn't the shock, it was the lower control arm bushing. I sprayed some white litium grease around it and it stopped.

With only 33K I doubt it's the shock. Just get under the car and spray they hell out of everything that needs to be lubricated and see if it stops anything.

Thanks for the help. Where can I get some white litium grease at? I originally wondered if lubricating the different suspension components would work. Thanks again for the help.

my car had 19,000 on it and toasted a lr shock at the strip, might also try if you've ever had the shocks off, the lower bracket on the axle will cause a squeak if overtightend

Thank you gentlemen! I was having to live with the worst squeak, and was about to have it looked at. A little lube to the control arm bushings and all is quiet.

Mine did that after installing the springs. Sounds like the right rear. What do you guys recommend lubing the suspension parts with? I know you said lithium grease but what kind?

I just used the white lithium grease because it you can spray it on like WD40 but it doesn't run off. I think I got mine at autozone.
