Squeaking/Squealing niose under hood???

I have developed a new noise uuder my hood. It can best be described as a squeak/squeal that is realted to how much I have my foot down on the gas. It almost sounds like a niosy belt, but thats not it. I know I have an exhaust leak from one of my headers, could this me what is causing the niose, any other ideas? I know its impossible to diagnose noises without actually hearing them, but give me some suggestions anyway.

I would make sure it wasn't a pulley first. Does it squeak/squeal at idle? If so hit each pulley (in the center where the bearings would be) with some WD-40 or something, the idler and Alt pulleys have bearings that get dry/worn out (don't forget the tensioner). Something quick and easy to check.
