Everytime I travel anywhere under 30 mph I hear a squeaky cricket like noise from the rear wheels "not sure which side". Noticed that it gets louder when I go over bumps and when I press down on the brake and hold the brake in a little while im traveling the sound stops.

Any ideas??

?Brakes rubbing?
?bad wheel bearings?
?warped rotor?

????????????????????????????????????????

If it goes away when you hit the brakes, it's brake squeal.

Relubricate the slider pins and backing plates of the pads

I had this issue with my forward suspension a couple years ago and it is now beginning to crop up with my rear as well.

I ended up having to go to the dealer for help on figuring out what was going on. Apparently my bushings and tie rod ends got old and needed replacement.

My symptoms were (and are again) a squeak/chirp every time I would go over an imperfection in the road. At the point where I got the dealer involved, they were chirping pretty much continuously thanks to the imperfections in the pavement.

If you have a spring compressor, you can probably change the bushings yourself. I've been told that they sell replacement polyurethane bushings online by some other Mustang guys I know. The originals are rubber.
