squealing on start up

i get an occasional squealing on cold starts, sounds like a belt, any ideas? its an 03 gt wit 64000 miles 5 spd. also what are the regular servicing i should have done other than oil change and air and fuel filters?

I vote for belt. Take some silicone dressing or WD40 and you can spray it on the belt, problem should be solved.

ANother trick is to use a bar of soap on the belt. WHile it's running hold the soap on the belt grooves and the squeal will stop.

But this method along with belt dressing only lasts til the next rainstorm. Then it washes away.

Either replace the belt, and try putting WD-40 on the pulleys. Also, check the idler pulley, they tend to squeal.

Just get a new belt...you have 64,000 miles on it.
