Squeek from the rear of the car

There is a loud squeek coming from the rear suspension when I go over bumps, I am 90% sure it is the bushings on the lower control arm. However, I can't seem to completely replicate the sound when the car is not driving. Does anyone have any ideas on how to verify the bushings are causing the noise? I am thinking about getting aftermarket control arms to hopefully make it go away but if they arent making the squeek i might spend the money on something else. Thanks for any help.

The same thing has happened to me, although it is faint. I can hear it when my windows are down. Another thing is that i have 17 inch summer wheels and stock 16 inch wheels for winter, and the only time i can hear it is in the summer when I have the 17's on. I took it it a suspension place and they didn't see anything wrong with it, but the control arm sounds about right. I might go have someone else give me a second opinion on it, since I have no ideas.

The same problem is happening to me too. Only mine just started after i took it to the dealer and they replaced the rear brakes. Anyone happen to figure out exactly whats making the noise?

Started happening to me about 8 months ago. Replaced the shocks/struts and now it's no more. don't know if that's what it is for sure but I think that's what it was for me.

hmm this is sounding like a good excuse to upgrade the whole suspension

yea same thing for me but i know its my right rear shock because its all chewed up since i managed to separate the part where the controll arms and rear suspension are welded to the body, from the body. So i will be replacing them all real soon though

I had it, got it fixed, have it again.

I don't know if we're talking about the same squeak, but to check, lay on the ground next to the driver's side (actually, passenger side works too) and have a buddy push down on the trunk a few times.

By doing this, I noticed that my speed bump squeak was coming from the emergency brake cable rubbing as it passed through a bracket.

WD-40 worked much better than the dealership replaceing the cable (for a differnt problem) that only temporarily fixed the squeak.
