Great description! Where do I send my money!?

PS. I like the 'reverse' SA-10 paint scheme. Kind of a cool idea, since I never really liked the SSC's styling too much. Curse whoever told Steve Saleen that black cars don't photograph well, and never get magazine covers! He probably could have sold at least the complete entire run of 200+ instead of 176, probably even a couple hundred more, if he offered them in black or other colors...

I noted this Ebay posting yesterday, too, & was immediately suspicious about the authenticity of this particular "SSC" as there is so much visibly wrong with the crappy photo not to mention the minimalist description.

Was there any SSC's with black bumper trim, black rims, and a black centered hood?
Or did someone take some liberties with the outside of the car?

Seems like a scam to me, you'd think someone with a 15k mile car ssc could afford a digital cam and put more than 30 seconds into the ebay ad.

Nah Joe.

You are not seeing things. I can't imagine anyone with the dough to buy or hold on to a low mile SSC to change that car up either but you know we have seen stranger things.

No black body molding or hoods painted like that. It does appear from that single picture that the seats are white Flofit's though.

I've tried hard, and I just can't make myself like what has been done to that SSC. Black on white just doesn't work for me.

Saleen built 160 SSC's and the Pioneer car. They didn't build in sequence. Skipped some numbers as they went along. I don't have my Saleen book in front of me so I can't tell you right off hand which #s got skipped. It is possible that your friend has #173.

....White on white?? Who the hell likes that color combo anyways I do agree with you about the "black spot" on the hood not looking right on the foxbody car....

Joe,

Most of the ads on that website are at least 5 years old. Some are older than that!
