HA!! Dont think he'll go for that

4.30's are a reall steap gear, if you ever add enough power to the car then you will run out of gear in the 1/4. Chris and I knew someone who was running 4.10's in his blown 91 GT and was running out of gear at epping. Then theres gas mileage and as steap as prices are now I dont think 4.30's would be to friendly. Also you can forget about any interstate driving b/c you will be taching about 4000 RPM at crusing speeds . I'll be happy w/ my 3.55's, great all around gear and best if you ever decide to go the power adder route.
My vote is for 3.73's if your talking about the track and drivability, N/A you won't run out of 3rd on the 1/4 and cruising will still be well under 3k rpms. However 4.10's are alot of fun on the street. If you do ever go with a power adder, especially a sc, why not spend the extra 3-400 for new gears? I'm at 3k rpms cruising at 85 in 5th.

Saddest day of my life yesterday. I agreed to let the x bitch move away with the boy. Fathers don't stand a chance in court. He is now @ 5 hours away. The pscho **** moved immediately, didn't even let him finish the school year, only 5 weeks left. Sorry about this little personal rant, just had to get it off my chest a little.

And to top it off, some woman backed into the stang while i was stopped at a red light in augusta. Nice ol' dent in rear quarter panel. Pro Body Works said that it will be ready on day after BE, but also added, when i mentioned BE, that it might be ready friday before BE. So if you guys are near wiscasset next week, can you keep yours eyes open. I don't want them beating on it.

Yesterday sucked in so many ways.

The aspire SVT Cobra did get me to stop crying though.

Sorry to hear that Larry, sometimes it's better for the child though if the parents ARE apart, I wish that would have happened when I was growing up. I really hope that you do get your son to live with you, it is very obvious that you care for him a lot. Good luck .
Fred and I set an appointment for a dyno this weekend, I have a new tune and hope that my A/F has been worked out. Anyone else going to Ainslee's on Thursday? I should be there at about 20 past 5 or so..... hope to see a few of you there .

Well guys I wrecked the Cobra this morning

I was pulling into the the base and a guy came flying up over a hill and hit me head on at about 55mph i was going about 5mph. The Cobra is pretty messed up, my bumper is stuck in his grill Actully it went right through mid radiator (late model Grand Marquis) i just got back from the hospital. I am pretty sore my neck, back and chest hurt. I couldn't open my doors i had to force the drivers door open it went just enough for me to get out. Adreneline is a good thing i guess. I won't be at ainslies tonight i want to go but my wife won't be home in time i can't drive (valium for pain) when i get some pics i'll post them for you guys.

I kinda fear it may be totalled due to the fact that the door are jammed. My Airbags did NOT deploy either so that will cut the repair bill some.

I got my FR500 and the ProChamber now and i can't put them on. wierd thing is i am not really that upset i mean i am pissed but not as much i thought i would be if something ever happened to her. But it happened and my Snake has some broken fangs. I hope they don't total her i want my Cobra back

Well i went and looked at the car the damage pics will hopefully be up tonight

The Radiator got bent up and under it didn't hit the engine as far as i can tell, however there are some marks on the crank pulley (looks like it rubbed on something)

Front Bumper cover is toast, along with headlights and fogs

driverside fender is done along with the drivers door

Hood is way gone

the ******* cops cut my battery cables so i can't roll up my windows or eject my CDs

They stuffed all the pieces inside so my seats are fawked

And they took it the scariest tow place i have ever seen, it's basically a junk yard no lights nothin, i walked right in i coulda walked out with whatever i wanted too, nobody came out to talk to me. I think i need to have it moved to a safer location

I am more pissed off about where they took it than about wrecking it

FAAAAAAAAAAAAAWK

Dude that sucks. Glad to here your pretty much alright. I hope you we're wearing your seat belt (lol i seldom do). Man when it rains it pours, so we're looking at three less cars for BE, Bryans, Mikes and mine? Jesus, the rest of you guys better be careful.

As far as totalling it, the fact you can't open the door is not a good sign, cause it shows that the frame might be bent. Alot of times, the cost to get it fixed is close to what the insurance company would have to pay you, so they call it totalled, pay you for it, and sell it for parts.
But still, wouldn't you get a nice check from the ins. co. to put towards an '04?

Oh, and Dan

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! Thankfully you are alright. I dont know if it was me I'd hope they did total it so I could go buy another. once a car is in a wreck its never the same or even feels the same. It might just be the fender thats preventing the door from opening and not actually twisted. Man this sucks...well maybe it will all work out and there will be another '03-'04 Cobra to terrorize everyone.

Man Mike, that sucks!! The really good thing is that you are o.k., the car is not nearly as important as your well being. Leave it to the "other" guy to put you and others at risk, it always seems to happen that way . Get that freakin car out of that place, I have AAA Plus if you need it, and take it to a really good body shop ASAP so you can get an estimate. Glad to hear you are OK bro, and ya, can I smell an '04 in the near future

It's a long story, and i agree some distance between parents could be a good thing, in fact that was one of HER arguments. I just feel the distance is a little extensive, thus causing Preston and I to spend half of our weekends in hotels. it's funny that she had no intention to move until her fiance found out the hard way that the fishermen out here are very territorial of their fishing grounds. Then all the bs about "conflict" between us started to be exagerated. Did I mention she's a lawyer?
Any bets on how long her third marraige lasts? 1st one lasted 7 years, but she was away at college for the first 5 of those years.
Ours lasted about 1 1/2 years. All right enough busting on the x, just venting a little cause still pissed about yanking him out of school and leaving with out me being able to talk to him first, coupled with the fact that this is mothers day weekend, so i won't see him for close to two weeks, And he's never not seen me for more than 4 days.
And just for the record, I made my share of mistakes when we were married.

Yeah but if you got a new one it would be "your" cobra. Personally, while i love my '96, I don't think it would take too long to start loving an '04. The payments, on the other hand, I could do without.
