1. They were on a high shelf and the cats knocked them off. But whats the chances they landed on my desk and didn't bounce off?

Do your cats do anything unusal before these things happen? Now that I thought about it, when the balloon thing happened, my cats were both begging to go outside at the front door. I kept telling them no and they sat there at the door giving me this odd look. They generally did not go out after dinner time. Maybe they were aware of something????

Not that I noticed. I'm not very superstitious (hence having 2 black cats), so I shrug off most of these things when they happen. It was just the knife and fondue forks that set me off. And that happened when I was out. Yesterday, when I got in, a toy started to make wierd noises. It's a couple of boxes that need to be lined up and touched together just right to make the truck/train/motorcycle/etc. noise. Well, the boxes were a good 3 inches apart and not lined up.
Oh, and I took some pic.s but nothing that I could see. I haven't put them on the computer yet. But if it's just 1-2 ghosts(lady and/or husband) it might be hard to catch them.

You might want to contact someone who is an expert on this stuff. I know someone who is a well respected paranormal investigator. She lives here in Massachusetts but travels all over the US to investigate this stuff. She's done investigations at Alcatraz and in New Orleans. If you are interested in talking to her send me a PM and I will give you her info.

I was just up in Portland last Tuesday and was bummed again. I never see any bambi's or bullwinkle's when I drive thru Maine. So, where are they hiding?

Head up to northern Maine.....You'll see alot and probably some closer than you would like...I have alot of deer in my back yard(no Mike W. you cant come and play w/them)...even have the bear claw marks in the trees...along with the moose, turkeys, coyotes, Foxes, beaver....its a regular Wild Kingdom here

This past summer I was sitting on my front porch, and I saw what I thought was a freakin' horse on my neighbors lawn. At the time, it just did not instantly click, but upon looking a little harder, it was a damn moose! The odd part is that I don't live in a rural area, so that was the last thing I would expect to see. It pranced up the street towards the school while gathering a crowd of followers, came back, and disappeared behind my neighbor's house. This is the same spot that I saw five dear just hanging out last year.

When I used to have a Saab 900 Turbo, I totaled it when I ran into a rather small buck. The dear did not die right off, so when the cop came, he saw his opportunity to play Clint Eastwood. The guy popped like 6 caps into the dear, then asked me if I wanted it. "Ummmm.....no."

Drive up to moosehead lake or Rangley......you'll see PLENTY of critters. I see Bambis all over the side of 295 when I come home from Fred's at night. Me and the wife saw a Wolf.....YES WE WERE SURE IT WAS A WOLF in Lisbon Falls running across 196 last spring. The damn thing was HUGE!!! We missed hitting it by about 2-3 feet. We also have ALOT of Fox and Coyotes around here. I still want to see what this viscious Fisher thing looks like.

The portland area is not the best place to look if you want to see wildlife. Portland is not a good representation of Maines wildlife. When Ever I go up to my dads to visit we always see deer in teh field behind his house either just a dusk or early in the morn.
