It was pretty easy. I just removed my catback, and used a bunch of knuckles and extensions to get to the bolts. Make sure you have a tq. wrench so you can tq. all the bolts to specs.

Well we all got new best times, however myself in a much less dramatic fashion. I only made 2 passes all day. My first pass was right after we arrived, and my clutch was slipping BAD in first gear. I thought I was spinning, but Chris and Travis said I wasn't, and that after I started moving, they saw a bunch of smoke coming from underneath the car. The sniff test after I parked it confirmed that the clutch was slipping.

After a 2-3 hour cool down I decided to try it again, and be a little easier coming off the line. This worked, as the clutch held first gear this time, but only resulting in a 1.961 60' time. Pass 2 results;

1.961 60', 7.754 1/8 @ 98.29, 11.702 1/4 @ 126.32.

This is only a few hundreths better than my previous best 1/4 mile time, but is a vast improvment in my MPH, so it gives me hope as to what the car is really capable of. Looks like it's time for a new clutch, and some Level 5 half-shafts or a solid axle so I can launch the $hit out of this thing and get it into the 1.5-1.7 60' area.

Here are my choices;

You want the ultimate clutch available for your Stang??

This is it!!!

The Centerforce DFX Clutch has been proving itself over the last year as the most durable performance cluth available for the big horsepower cars. The special material that Centerforce uses is nearly invincible. The DFX can be driven on the street like a normal clutch or taken to the track and to withstand numerous launches from your ET Streets and Drag Radials.

$450.00

Spec 99-04 Cobra/Mach-1 Clutch Kit (Stage 3+)

Stage 3+ Clutch Kits:3-Piece disc with SPEC's exclusive X-Pad material, which is a combination of carbon and ceramic material and a full face clutch disc. The Carbon material adds a little better feel for the street, while the ceramic material adds a more aggressive feel. Sharp but smooth engagement, light pedal, and a 800 rear wheel torque capacity.

The Stage 3+ features a streetable high clamp pressure plate and full face carbon semi-metallic disc. Listed as an upgrade to the stage 3, it offers torque capacities more comparable to the stage 5 but with drivability equal to, and in some cases better than, the stage 3. The high capacity and excellent drivability characteristics of this clutch is a result of years of research and development for this SPEC exclusive disc compound.

$489.00

i was leaning more towards the DFX. Not sure yet. I was going to go for the exedy setup, but it is way too much money.

on another note, I did order a Fiore firewall adjustor, DynoJet WBC and gauge pod!

Great time yesterday guys to bad I couldnt have brought mine down but no way I would have passed tech w/ that oil leak. I did get alot of good ideas though for the motor next yr.

here are the video's I took. For those of you who were not there they are taken on my digital camera so it cant zoom that good from a 1/4 away. Next yr if we all hit the track alot I'll get a good digital camcorder.

Good to be home. still trying to get used to it though. Installed my clutch quadrant and firewall adjustor today. didn't really get to drive all that much before the rain started. From what I could tell it was a bit better though.
