Ford has never done as good of a job as GM when it comes to parts interchangability. That is why the chevy small block has lasted as long as it has. I find it incredibly STUPID that Ford produces blocks at different plants (Romeo and Windsor) and the blocks are very different. WHy in the hell would any sane person do that? Why wouldn't you make the blocks exactly the same? Wouldn't that keep costs down?
