Well boys,
Had my first run in with the GT500 yesterday on the way down to Jersey to put the Cobra in storage in preporation for our move!! It was a darker red convertable, w/o any stripes. Nice looking car, too bulky for my taste though. Anyways, the guy see's me in his rearview, and as I get closer he punches it, he starts to pull and so I say F' it and drop a gear and put the pedal through the floor! I realed him in rather quickly!! Pull up next to him and it was an older guy (suprise), he waves, and I give him the thumbs up! So again, he punches it with no warning, so I follow suite. Once again same result. I realed him in and then walked past with ease! It always feels good to run down a car that has so much more hype and such a larger price tag!! I know I know, it was probably bone stock, and I am making way more power, as well as weigh probably 600 lbs less, but a kill is a kill! The one thing I did notice is that 5.4 really growls!! Nice deep tone to it!

Side note, that was the first GT500 I have seen in person. Glad I got the intro like that!!

nice kill dan very nice

So far i have seen 7 of them. 3 red w/white stripes, 2 grey with black, 1 Blue with black, and the commanding general at socom has a white one with blue stripes...(beautiful car) havn't seen a vert yet. Florida has more mustangs running around it's sickening

but like dan said to big and bulky for my taste as well

saw a pair of those Roush 427Rs the other day...those are pretty cool

Yeah, I never quite understood where Ford was going w/ the mod motors. Woo-hoo me and worden can swap heads!!

That said, I'm happy w/ my ALUMINUM block.:D
Ford has never done as good of a job as GM when it comes to parts interchangability. That is why the chevy small block has lasted as long as it has. I find it incredibly STUPID that Ford produces blocks at different plants (Romeo and Windsor) and the blocks are very different. WHy in the hell would any sane person do that? Why wouldn't you make the blocks exactly the same? Wouldn't that keep costs down? Both plants using the same plans and parts seems like they could get more of a discount for the bulk parts(ie bolts) if both places were ordering togther.
That just makes it more difficult for everyone else to figure out which plant their engine came from and what particular parts they have to buy. Hasn't this been a problem when some people wanted to change the heads on their Mod motors?
Ford has been making this stupid mistake for so many years. Interchangability amonst the Clevland and WIndsor blocks or amonst the various big blocks.
GM did much better especially with the chevy engines.

Yeah I have it, What an awesome machine. Very well built great quality. No issues w/ it at all after a full day of playing yesterday. No glitch's, overheating or crashing like all the systems had when the 360 came out. No reports on other people having any serious problems yet either. I have Madden 07 and Resistence Fall Of Man, both are awesome games.
