I'm already over the torque rating for the 500. Yeah having a low 1st gear sucks, I have the same problem with the T5. 1st gear is relatively useless in the T5.
Both trans could be tailored to different gear spec by different companies. Pro motion being the big one I can think of. Plus they (ProM) can build them even stronger.

no not yet. I dont think I want to do anything with this one. Im thinking of getting rid of it this summer and trying to get the Mustang that I really want even though it might take awhile and take some effort to get one.
Ha, I am thinking of getting rid of mine too.......there's a 2006 HD F-150 locally looking REALLY good.......besides, I can count on one hand how many times I have driven the damn car since it's been down here. I don't know. Just seems like ALOT of money to be sitting around in the garage not being driven.
