I was just thinking of you today ( no not in a gay homosexual way) But I bought a used Bassani X pipe but the smog tube on it has a slight gash in it, about 1" long. Is that something you could weld and fix?
Steel or stainless? Thin wall stuff isn't easy because its easy to burn through the metal. I could try but I'm a hack when it comes to welding. THe worse thing that can happen is you have a bigger hole afterwards.
Before you can weld something like that you have to close the gap as much as possible. Trying to weld a gap sucks and causes problems.
What the hell caused a gash in that metal?
