^ i like the BFGs...but i just can't stand the way the goodyears look. Lame i know but i just hate the tread pattern on them

I really like the tread pattern on the BFG's but they dont make then wide enough in the 17 series. I also really like the pattern on the good year F1's which is one of the reasons why I want to get it. It gets really good reviews. I could spend half as much and just get a nother set of Nitto DR's but Im trying to keep from shatting my pants anytime I get cought in the rain.

don't they make just plain ole 555s in a 315???

am i the only one who doesn't mind driving the rain my nitto DRs????

No they dont the reg 555 only goes as high as 275, if I was running a 9inch rim it would be different but they are 10.5's out back.

Ive never had any "close calls" persay as far as losing it in the rain with the Nitto DR's but it only takes one time and I dont want it to be due to the fact that I didnt want to spend a few hundred more for reg street tires. I have the MT for the track I dont see the need for running DR's on the street to.

Hey Moe, Larry and Shemp down in Florida. You guys have missed a really bad winter. We have had a butt load of snow. Storm after storm we have had well over 80 inches. Some of the snow banks where I have been working are anywhere from 4 to 7 feet high. Now this stuff is finally starting to melt which feels great. Wish you were here:D .

I might just stick a bolt in it and cut it off below the cut or just take it to an exhuast shop here in town and see if they can weld it.

The winter here has sucked monkey balls this year, we have had over 100 inches of snow where I am. The rain the past few days is a relief since its starting to melt it. Im hoping to have the stang out by the start of may.

I asked this over on SVTP but they are a bunch of dinks and no one would reply but I was told that once I have the catted X pipe on that the cats would burn out prematurely due to the fact that I dont have any smog equipment hooked up? How much of a issue is that if its fact?

No no Emissions, just regular inspections so a legal exhaust system is required. Most of us here have gotten away w/ O/R H/X pipes for awhile you just have to know who to go to but its getting harder and harder so I just figured Id go the legal route plus It needed cats to quiet it down some.

Do you go to Epping during the summer? I need somene new to go with, most of the guys in here either sold their stangs or got shipped out of state. :Damnit:

ok Mike I know you hate the F1's so what do you think of this idea. Ive been wanting to get some different rims for the car but if I put new meat on the back its almost a waste b/c I want 18's and If I got 18's next year getting something like the F1's now wouldnt be good b/c theres no way they would need to be replaced by next year anyway so Id be spending money on new tires and not getting my money out of them. So what about this. Spend the $600 government check on this.

and wrap them in these, 295's out back and 255's up front.
