Shaw did you figure out what you are going to use to clean your driveway this winter? I saw snow flakes yesterday.
I saw some huge snow blowers at Lowes recently. They were about 3 times as wide as a normal snow blower and made by John Deere. With that wide of a clearing path it better have one hell of a engine and throwing distance. Would make clear the driveway quicker.

I ended up buying a decent size 11HP/30" clearing path Ariens snowblower. It is a very reputable brand, at a reasonable price. I could have gotten a bigger model, but I wanted to keep some mobility with it, as well as making sure that Katie could handle it in a pinch. We will see how well it works out this year, and will consider a plow for the truck if the work is too hard, or takes too long. We also have a plow guy on call in an emergency, so we should be covered.

I would think that it shouldn't take to long to do your driveway, maybe around a half hr from start up to shut down.

Man, I dissapper for a while and everyone is taking pot shots at me..LOL..

I'am inpressed that you guys are talking so much politics and not how many farts you had last night..

Food for thought... Who is Obama?? Nobody even knew who he was 2 years ago. You've got to remember, that all the other countries around the world are old school and when they see some one like Obama who they don't know and hasn't been around, they won't take him seriously. I have say that Travis is right. He is a socalist and believes in markmanship. He says he will help the middle class.... Ya the lower class, MINORITIES!!! We are screwed.

Now, McCain.. First off, Palin has only been a governer since 2006 and it's ummm still 2008. She's a idiot and I could have answered those questions with Katie Curic better.. McCain is only a heartbeat away from having that MILF as president.. McCain will make a good president, but the way the economy is going and the way the stock market runs on emotion, I'm afraid that if he gets elected the economy will be worse off that it is now. He is also too emotional and don't think he will actually think about solutions to our problems, but just react with rash decisions.. I also believe he will bring us to war with Iran..

NO matter how you slice it we really don't have a silver bullet presidential canidate to solve the problems we face. REMEMBER the president can only pass laws, veto laws and declare war. The really problem is congress... Not sure how I'm voting yet... Even thought I don't care for bush, McCain will be a better fit for our foriegn policy and taking car of some the crap in congress.

Oh ya, those of you who like Biden.. He will go with whatever is popular and all he has is a good smile...

It's a lose , lose situtation if you ask me...

I agree w/ the gnome but no matter how many faults you find in McCain/Palin it still does not compare to how much worse of a choice Obama/Biden is.

Chris there is never a silver bullet. They all suck to some extent. You just need to pick the side that is best for your personal needs.
I too don't think McCain is stable and there is a possibility he will die in office and I sure as hell don't trust Palin to run things. She is not good at giving good solid answers. Its like she needs to take a time out every time she is asked a pressing question. She doesn't like answering anything she hasn't been coached on recently. I don't think she could make a decision immediately if our lives or security depended on it. The only decent reason I could see that McCain picked her was because she is a woman and he wanted to get the votes that Hillary was carrying.
Biden has been around politics for a very long time and can at least call on friends to pass some legislation or help make decisions. I think he most definitely can step up to the plate and hit a home run if needed.
Obama is a nobody just like Palin but people are looking for a big change. Even the rest of the world would like to see some change here. There are a lot of people in the world that don't like the US for a lot of the things we have done. We have done plenty of things over the years to piss off other countries. What we call doing our duty, others call terrorism or imperialism. Obama does at least have some things going for him like charm and charisma. People like that and always have. We have had a few presidents in our life times that won a lot on those couple of things...JFK, Reagan, Clinton. Those who didn't get swept to the back of the pack like Bush 1 and 2, Ford, Carter. Personally I like Nixon for the serious brass balls he had not for some of the stuff he did.
No Travis this isn't in reference to just the last decade or so. We have don't lots of shady things over the years that we would condemn other countries for doing. We just don't like to talk about it or put it in our history books.
Whether we like it or not every time the economy goes down the toilet and things aren't getting done in Warshington(McCain speak) the incumbents head out the door. Then things start to look up in the economy.

Gee I hope they are against terrorism. I don't see either party as being against the constitution though. The military is not always the answer to our problems either.

Defending our country against terrorism. Obama has already wanted to cut the defense budget by 10 Million along w/ Murtha. Great time in our history to be discussing defense cuts.

Yeah your right, Im sure if we had just "talked" w/ Bin Laden that he would have changed his mind about murdering 3,000 Americans. He was just miss understood, if we had sent the "Messiah" to talk to him like he wants to w/ amademajad Im sure the entire world will be roses and lolly pops

The term is actually Marxism, referring to a Karl Marx. I looked this definition up for all of you to see in it's splendor.

Marxism:
System of economic, social, and political philosophy based on the idea that class struggle is the """"motor of history,"""" and that the outdated class structures will be overthrown with force (revolution) instead of being replaced through patient modification. It explains that as the capitalism has succeeded the feudalism, it too will be removed by a dictatorship of the workers (proletariat) called socialism, followed quickly and inevitably by a classless society which governs itself without a governing class or structure. Developed in the 19th century jointly by two lifelong German friends living in London—Karl Marx (1818-1883) and Friedrich Engels (1820-1895)—it forms the foundation of communism.

Markmanship probably has something to do with guns, which is something that Obama wants to control BTW.

Its called "spreading the wealth" As Obama admitted to Joe the Plumber, and after he went public w/ it the Obama launched 2 illegal probes to find information on Joe. If the Obama camp will do this to a single American that gets in the way of their agenda then what else are they capable of?

Gun Control never even came up through this whole campaign or in the debates. They steered right away from it but rest assured that any liberal in public office will do everything they can to further gun bans and make it harder for every day Americans to get one. There are to many other outlets for criminals to use if they want to get a gun, gun bans and back ground checks mean nothing for anyone who wants to illegally get a gun

Thanks Mike, I meant Marxism. Well if I take Bryans advice and vote for my personal interest, than it would have to be McCain. Only because I'am a business owner and under Obama's plan I would pay almost double in taxes throught the business, not mention more in capital gains tax. I do like Obama's carisma, but can't help thinking "is it to good to be true" Maybe he's the anticrist. Still undecided...

Where did this gnome thing come from???? Travis you shouldn't say such things to the guy who fixes your POS...

Are you forgetting what Palin has been charged with as far as illegal or improper use of power?

We won't know until the horns sprout.
We also have to worry about McCain and his instability. He is getting real old and the cancer isn't helping. During the campaign he has changed his mind a few times so who is to say he will stick with what he says. I can just see people around the world mocking him because of his F'ed up face and arms. Kind of like us making fun of other world leaders that look like monkeys(I'm thinking of Sudan or that general area) or just freaky. The Iranian leader looks like a little troll.

Love the banner at the top of the screen...'Who is most likely to cheat Obama, McCain, Palin..."

Kind of like how Obama said how only people making over 250,000 will be taxed more, then it was 200,000, then Biden said $150,000 and nwo its down to $120,000....kinda like changing your mind like that?

I'll stop calling you a Gnome when my car stops leaking oil BTW You have not fixed anything on it, its never been broken

You watching the next UFC on PPV? Im off for that one but not sure if I'll be watching it here or someplace else yet.

Funny you bring up the Antichrist topic, I made a thread in the political section saying how I think he really is.

Obama is trying to appease everyone, what he does say is to good to be true mainly b/c its not true anyway. Many people dont understand his tax program but all will understand it when we ALL are playing more b/c of it.

Bryan, I do agree that McCain can be unstable and react with emotion.

I should be watching it at my house...

I also noticed the $250,000 then the $200,000. He even said two different figures in the same debate.

Though I didn't like how McCain was rude and interrupted Obama like a spoiled school kid. Then at the last debate he decides to start walking around.. WTF... McCain has been around and will not that crap from anyone. I think Obama will kinda of a push over...

He is a push over, hes nothing but a puppet that's spewing the same rhetoric that's been shot down by the left for years but for some reason b/c its him the American public is eating it up. Hes just pushing the agenda that the political left has been trying to do for years, these are not his ideas, these are not his plans, hes just a vehicle used to send that message.
