He went to pick it up in Phoenix that's where the pics were taken. I was going to take some at his place but I could not get any good ones b/c the car was up on top level of his car lift the Saleen was below it and the R was on the other side.

I wish I had storage problems like that.

Been doing more searching online for brakes. Lots of places with similar prices and every now and then I can find one hell of a deal. I can get the fronts from one place a couple hundred less that the next closest priced place. Most of the others are another $100 on top of that. The rears I can get from a different place(Year One) for almost $300 less than the next couple of closest priced places. Rear $926 and front $893shipped = not cheap but could be worse if you don't shop.
Then it would mean new 5 lug rims and bigger tires which is more $. I get freaked out spending lots of money.
At least I don't have the big car bill that you have. Both my vehicles are paid off and the wifes has been paid off for over a year. Shed is almost paid off. The windows we had replaced in January are paid off as of today.
Baer is having a Black Friday sale so I will call them friday to see how much they will come down compared to what I have already found. Doubt they can match or beat the prices I found which is sad because I would rather get it direct.

moist. I cooked it. If my mother cooked it then it most definitely would have been dry.
I basted it every half hour with some maple syrup and it was so f'ing good, especially the bacon on top.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

Well I placed some orders for new front and rear brakes. It was agonizing as always because I'm a tight wad when it comes to spending a lot of cash for something. Also ordered a bracelet for xmas for my wife.
Tomorrow the car gets inspected and parked in the garage for the winter.

I know it will. Stock the fronts are 11.65" I think and now will be going to 13" plus the conversion of rear drums to 12" discs. Yeah that should make a nice difference plus much better calipers in the front verses stock ones. Later on I will have to make a decision on new wheels which I'm pretty sure I will go with the Mavromont version of the pony rims. Those rims are a good price and should allow me to put the 315s in the back.
If I go to a torque arm then those rear calipers will help out a lot more with braking. Less nose dive means I can dial in more braking bias to the rears compared to now. That also means the bigger tires in the rear will have more bite when braking. Braking will be a whole new animal on my car. Right now its scary at high speeds.

yeah w/ stock brakes and that much power Im sure it is a little scary, it will improve the stance and over all look w/ bigger rims and tires w/ big fat brakes beneath them.

That AMG I posted pics of has 8 piston calipers on the front that thing must stop insanely sick. Mine has 3 pistons on the front and it bites HARD I cant imagine 6+

My car inspection was at 8am and the roads were still icy. Had to take it easy getting there and back. Really didn't want to drive on icy roads. Those rear tires didn't like it either. They don't even work that great when the roads are wet. So now the inspection is done for another year and the car will stay in the yard till spring. I need to take it out and wash off the dirt and any possible salt that got on it today.

Those AMGs are the sporty higher end version of a already high end car maker. They are top notch cars that are meant to accelerate, brake, handle, and pamper the driver all with a warranty. Big bucks and I imagine the maintenance costs on those vehicles has got to be outrageous. Mercedes parts are expensive and AMG versions have to be real bad. Love to have one but only if I was rich enough to afford the maintenance and have someone else do the work.

after you get some new rims on it you should run some Nitto DR's on them for the street. A car w/ that much power needs all the traction it can get and even though the Nitto's wont last long depending on how much you drive it I'm sure the extra grip would be nice.

I want something that lasts longer than DRs for street driving and I don't have to worry about driving in the rain. That kind of rules out the Nitto DRs.
