Get some KDW's like I have on the front, heard those are a great street tire.

I want something that lasts longer than DRs for street driving and I don't have to worry about driving in the rain. That kind of rules out the Nitto DRs.
Yeah I read those had great traction on dry roads. I'll be looking for a ultra high performance tire for the rear. Since I'm going to try and put 315s on, that really narrows down the selection of tires. Not a lot that are that big in a 17" rim.
When I followed that link it didn't show any tires wider that 255 in a 17" rim. Its going to take some shopping to find the right size tire.
Nor will they be good in the rain.I know the choices are slim but I will find something. I read those Eagles weren't that great or at least there were some not so favorable customer reviews at some of the tire sellers websites. Wide low profile tires won't be cheap.

You talking the DRs or just high performance tires in general? There are some good high performance tires that can handle the rain but I don't know if they are wide enough. I wonder if a real wide tire would be more likely to hydroplane.
I try not to drive in the rain but rain storms do happen unexpectedly.
yeah and I heard a few of you say how scary it is to drive on those in the rain.
I consider them to be crappy street tires if they act like they do in less than idea conditions. I think they only belong on dry clean pavement like a track. I would say the same about other brands of DRs.
