bryan be carefull with the impact should you choose that route....we destroyed the threads on one of my studs when we tried to pull it through...

you may need a die-grinder as well...i had to use one for each stud and yes the the studs were the right size

I used the impact on a ball joint installing tool. Its like a big C clamp with a open loop on one end and a place for a impact wrench on the other end. Just put the stud in the flange and through the open end of the tool then closed the C clamp with the impact. Worked pretty good. Had to crank up the pressure on the air regulator.
Your not supposed to use a nut and impact to draw the stud through the flange because you can destroy the threads as you found out. I've done that before successfully but you do take that risk.
Its -12 in Portland this morning and there is a place in North Western Maine that was -42. YIKES! You want to move back here and enjoy the cold?

Put the studs in the freezer and heat the flange..
Heres my latest project..

It's a customers car. Getting ported heads, intake and cam. With a bunch of other goodies. Looking at 400+ at the wheels.. It's an LT1 for the late person..

What do you mean by the 'Late' person? Do you mean lay person? I would have to assume that since that is still attached to the front subframe that it must be going in to a Camaro. How are things going at the shop?

Got the new master cylinder in along with the associated hard lines. Also installed the new A arm, SN95 spindle, rotor and brake caliper on the driver's side. Looks real nice and huge compared to the originals. Only broke one socket(cheap Mardens crap), busted one knuckle and smashed one finger in the process. My finger nail looks black and blue. Other than that things are going great. Oh yeah the garage is cold when the propane for the turkey fryer runs out. HA HA. I need to just go out and get a heater for the garage and some more propane.

how do you like resistance 2? I have that and beat it. Long hard game.

We have not done a gamimg day for quite awhile, you busy next weekend? I dont live as far as away as before so its not as long of a drive.

I have not had much of a chance to play it yet. I have been waist deep in Fallout 3 for quite some time now.

I just noticed this message, otherwise I would have had you come over. Let me know when you want to swing out here so we can make a plan of it. It's been way too long.

Things are going good. We have a lot of new things for 09' and continue to grow. I have a couple big projects going right now. Just give it time and we will own the accesory maket in Maine. We should have some new addtions in employees and will double our size within 18 months or less.. You guys need to come to Bonny Eagle this year..... Later..
