I just registered the Mustang a few days ago and it ran out in May and it needs a sticker. But as long as its not moving from the garage I'm not to worried.

I have to wait till Friday. Its the only day the town hall opens early enough that I can register the bike and make it to work in plenty of time.

Got the mustang running today, its goes in the shop this friday for the new clutch. I'll get it back probably on monday so that gives me 5 days of driving to get 450-500 miles on the clutch before Tasca Day. Good thing Im on vacation so I can drive it every day.

I was hoping it would have survived. Im picking the new one up at the UPS Processing place where the trucks leave from on tues morn. Going to call them tomorrow and have them hold it there b/c sometimes the UPS guy comes at 11 and other times 7PM. If its at 7 then I wont get the back until weds but if I just pick it up myself I can bring it to the shop early in the morn and get it back on tues. The UPS place is only 5 miles up the road from me

yeah you are much better going to get it yourself if you need it early.

Went to the doctor this morning. Yesterday I hit a piece of wood and I think a splinter went right into my knuckle. Couldn't see or get anything out myself. This morning it was infected and still hurt. The doc couldn't get anything but did say there was a trail where something went in. Tomorrow I have to call a specialist and see if I can get in there. Let the good times roll. That means I'll be missing some work this week and losing a bunch of money.

Damn Bryan that sucks. Was it pressure treated wood or just regular wood. My back just went out on me again this weekend. It really sucks not being able to walk sit or sleep

thankfully it wasn't pressure treated. Went to the specialist today and there really isn't anything they can do. Hopefully a splinter didn't actually go in and if it did hopefully it doesn't cause any future problems. Plan on going back to work tomorrow.
When the doc was digging inside the wound the other day I was sitting up on the bed. He stuck a needle in the area to numb it. He resumed looking for a splinter. After a short while I was sweating a lot and getting light headed. I had to lay down because my blood pressure had dropped. Weird feeling. Would have been real embarrasing if I passed out. I get grossed out by the feeling of having someone dig around in an area even though its numb.

Hope your back is better Fred. I have a decent idea of what bad back pain can be like. Sucks when you have to roll out of bed and try to stand up. Then its painful trying to sit down to use the toilet.

Sounds like you guys are some hurting units.

I picked up that package at the UPS hub this morning after yesterday calling the 1800 number for UPS and some dumb broad telling me that I could not pick it up there until after 1 delivery attempt. So I went there myself since its only 5 miles away and asked if I could pick it up for this morning and they said it would not be a problem. I just drove by the AAA place and the transmission is in and only the exhaust system was left on the floor so hopefully they have it all done by 5:30

going to be tough putting some miles on the clutch before the weekend. You don't want all highway miles but lots of driving around town.

I didnt get it back tonight, they broke the transmission mount stud so they had to get a new mount from ford b/c they could not replace just the stud. It will be there in the morn so Im hoping to get it back by the afternoon. yeah I'll get the miles on it, Im going to drive the hell out of it tomorrow, thurs, fri around auburn/lewiston and portland to get the clutch broken in before I head to the track saturday/sunday

Here is the old clutch disc and pressure plate. I think they have seen better days.

hard telling how much abuse it had before I ever brought it to the track to begin with. The past few years on the slicks may have just been to much for it to handle for what was left of it. . If I can get 400 miles on the clutch before epping I should be fine. I know they probably over rate the amount of miles to be put on it just to cover themselves too. But I will put as much on as I can before hand.

when do you plan on be at Epping and what class are you going to run?
I was thinking of the street shootout class. That one doesn't leave for a cruise until late morning or afternoon.

Im doing the street shoot out but not the street cruise one, its the other one. I cant run the slicks on the one where you go for the road tour and I hate hot lapping the car 3 times in a row. The other steet shoot out class allows slicks.

Im going down for qualifying tomorrow morning and eliminations are on sunday

I dont have crap for a video recorder. If bryan is there I'll have my digital camera but its junk for taking long distance videos. I want to get them recorded as well and have been meaning to get a good camcorder but other stuff just keeps coming up...like a clutch and flywheel replacement.

I finished putting the 450 miles on it today, gave it a nice 6,000 RPM gear pull and the damn throttle cable came off the pedal. Good thing I was only 1/2 mile from the house and on a side road w/ no traffic. Had to walk home get my truck drive it to it, unbolt the throttle cable put the clip back on it and put it back on the pedal. That clip had a slit in it and its not suppose to thats why it kept coming off b/c it happened before too. I had ordered a brand new throttle cable so when I got it back home put that on went out and roasted all 3 gears and the clutch held just fine. That victor 5.8 intake has some serious nut in the higher RPM's
