Well Ken from Kenne Bell seems to think that I have some unmetered air getting into the engine. I need to pull it all apart and look. I ruled out a piston because it wasn't smoking at all. I am going outside now to check the oil for signs of coolant so I can rule out a head gasket. Tomorrow I will have to pull it apart after work. Maybe I just got some crap on the MAF from the filter. we will see.

Ok, just went out to check the oil......good. no coolant. Started it up and BAMO!! Runs fine!!!! I think that it has something to do with the ECU when it goes into closed loop after motor is warm. I don't have the time to let it warm up and screw with it now. Later tonight or tomorrow afternoon. Damn FORDS!!!!!!!!

WTF??? thats wierd, i would unhook you battery for a few hours tonight so it resets itself.

yeah bring your stangs. he wants a group pic of the stangs. he told me between noon and 1pm.
Got my new battery box today. now I just have to find time to put it in. Getting up early to go lobstering with a frat brother and gonna bring home some lobster for the wife.

someone my wife works with went to get their truck inspected and it failed because the tires were not the original size as indicated by the sticker in the door. They were a little bigger than stock(not rim size). They were told its a new law. Is this for real? If it is I think most of us will fail.

Thats when you have to know someone or know a shop that dosent care about that kind of stuff like myself. Thats why Ive been able to get a sticker for the past 3 yrs w/ no converters. Matter of fact Im headed up there next weekend and my inspection is out this month, bet you dollars to donuts that I come back w/ a yellow sticker.

Sorry that I cant make it at chris's this weekend. Chris thought this was my weekend off but its next weekend. If I wasent already doing OT then Id consider taking a vacation day.


Dan did you find out whats wrong w/ your car??

We got the brakes done on mine, the rear pass side caliper had a pin that was stuck which caused the pad to have constant contact w/ the back of the rotor. Wore the pad right down to the metal, I could tell there was metal on metal contact from the sounds it was making. The back of the rotor was groved to hell, needless to say I needed a new one but its all good and working again now. Feels nice to have brakes once again.

Oh yeah FYI for those who want to know I e-mailed Magnaflow awhile ago asking them about there CFM rate of there mufflers. They said there is no industry standard to mesure CFM rates on mufflers ( must be independent testing ) but they assured that they have the best flowing mufflers out there. They said there was an avg gain of 15RWHP and 14 FT LBS of TQ w/ my car and that was w/ out being blown. I hope Partshopper still has the $70 rebate when Im ready to order a set.

hey guys... is this an elete club :D or can i get in on this... i would love to go down sat and meet you guys but ive gotta work 9am-11pm haha... i live right in bowdoin (5 min from topsham) and like my sig says ive got a 2002 mustang gt deluxe, every option with only 18k miles... just thought id throw that in there if you didnt want pos stangs in the club :shrug:

im going to philly/wildwood NJ for a month july 6th but it would be way cool to meet up with some fellow stangers sometime before/after i get back

btw i have no mods done yet since i just got the gt like 3 weeks ago now and wont be working for the month im gone on vaca, but ive got plans in the next 6 months for a blower and between then just minor stuff that wont take away from the blower fund

Of course its an Elite club, its a Mustang club :nice: We always seem to have something going on so if you are interested just keep tabs on this thread.

so if you guys say your meetin up somewhere its cool to drop by (obv id ask a member first and not just show unanounced)... and ill def do that if you guys are cool with it, but it prob wont be till sometime in august because ill be in PA july 6th- sometime at the end of july on vaca :D whooo hooo no work for me
