I will be at Tasca Day with my SSoM brothers! You are going too, right? If so, maybe we can all meet up and have a massive Mustang cruise to the track. Is Jesse talking about a Tasca Day thrash or doing it at some other time?

Fred and myself are going to Epping October 2nd for Tasca Day. I think Worden is going with us too......who else is up for the cruise down there?

I will be going too :D Larry and I are going to Winterport today to get a little practice. Lets see if I can cut some sub 2.00 60ft. times, or at least improve on what I have been doing

OK, I can't drive.
1st run No traction through 1st 2nd and part of third(didn't do a long enough burnout and didn't decrease tire pressure). :bang: After that it was pointless, so I just cruised to the end at 50mph.

2nd run lowered tire pressure and long burnout 2.058 60 ft .636 reaction time, had a jump on ZR1, then ground second gear. :bang: Finished 9.467 at 75 mph. :notnice:

3rd run red-lighted. :bang:

It wasn't as easy as it looked. Mike did better. Nice seeing you.

Nice seeing you also Larry, I am glad you made it :D O.K., on my first run I had a 2.191 60'(new best at the time)and finished with a [email protected]. I slowed down a bit too early not being really sure where I was supposed to stop.
On my second run I had a 2.143 60', and ran a [email protected]. I grinded the $hit out of second gear on this run.
On my third run I red lighted and had a Honda CRX take off on me while I was still waiting for my lights  I almost caught up with him, but ran out of track :nonono: Yup, I know, I got :owned: by a Honda.........He ran a [email protected] while because of my red light I have no data, so he can't PROVE he beat an '03 Cobra  I also grinded the crap out of second on this run........
On my fourth run I decided that I had to work on my shifting a little. I moved the seat ahead a little and put my seat in more of an upright position so I did not have to reach as far to slam the gears. Running through the gears in the staging lanes, this felt like it would really eliminate any possible missed shifts. I had a 1.921 60'(new best)and ran a [email protected]. If I can do that at Epping, I think that would be good enough to hit the 11's.
The one thing that I now know is that those Nittos need to be heated up really well, and maybe that was the mistake I made last time at Epping. This time I just hooked at WOT, and had zero wheel hop, which has not been a problem at the track yet anyways.
