hey, with 10psi on my STOCK BLOCK and heads on my 2V GT I put down 395rwhp and 420rwtq. I still say late model 5.0 =Striped5.0 said:

say all you want but it dosent change the fact that the 5.0 motor has not been made or approve upon for 10 yrs now since they stoped making it. You cant compare 10 yr old technology and say that 5.0's suck b/c there not up to par w/ the out put power level and response to mods as the new 4.6 motors are. Its like compareing todays olympic competaors w/ ones from 10 yrs ago..........
W/ Exception to the 03 cobra the 5.0 is still the bench mark car that most people compare or strive to beat.
Oh yeah BTW.......have fun on those new 03 Cobra Payments......mines paid off

At least I can do something to my car w/ out fear of a Ford Tech voiding my warranty, and its sooooo nice to look at that payment book and see that its empty.........BTW how many more payments do you have

see owning a paid off 5.0 or owning a new 04 Cobra/GT has its good and bad points. Frankly I like the fact that I now own my car and not the bank and that it leaves so much more money for more mods. But on the flip side I have to do that much more mods just to compeate w/ an 04 cobra but what do you expect your talking about motors that are 10 yrs apart and one that can handel 1000 HP from the factory.
Then again it will feel so nice to be payment free all winter while your sending in a payment every month for a car thats parked until spring

Ya, I am REALLY worried about my warranty....
As for the payments, If I wanted something that I could have paid off in a year, thats what I would have bought. Then I could have spent the 20k I saved on building a bullet proof engine, and putting a massive power adder on it. That sounds like a PITA, make mine an '03/'04 Cobra BTW, a bulldozer just got dropped off at my land, looks like they are getting to work really soon.
