We all need to decide if we want to have a fast street car or a race car that can't be driven anywhere but on a track. There is a line there somewhere. As I already stated I want mine to handle, brake and look better. I also want the engine to run smooth and not overheat in traffic.

Are you at top pay yet is what I meant by progression. That is what we call it when you start at a lower pay and work you way up to top pay after 2 1/2 years. No matter how much I can still bitch about the job. If I really hated it then I could leave. I wouldn't be the first one to leave but I'm working on making my 401k bigger. Even after the crappy market the last few years I have been able to put away alot. I have been putting in to the 401k for just over 4 years.

I am jealous. My pockets aren't deep enough. My 401k is big but my bank account is small. Some big bills this past year. Turbo, new shingles on the roof, gettin a bunch of trees removed and stumps ground up. Can't spend tons of money. But hey I can dream big can't I.

Just don't start bring a gun to work. That is when things really start to go wrong.
In a post on another page I stated that I hoped my previous supervisor would end up in the hospital with chest pains.

There was a guy who did bring a gun to work. He was going to shoot himself over a women. Then a couple of co-workers talked him out of it. Dam them!! I would be one more guy up in senority. He's a scab to boot!!

what do you mean extra money. Every time you do over time the Fed takes a larger percentage of that pay.

true but its still extra money then if you do no OT. once I do over 25 hrs of OT in a pay period then its not worth it b/c they take out more then I make, anything below 25 hrs and its all extra money.
