I am waiting to here back from James to see what he thinks. If he has the answer, I will test the car this weekend at Epping. If that is not the solution, I will get it dynotuned by Horsepower by Herman next spring.
any relation to Herman Munster? Muster had a kick ass car.

If that were the case the engine would hit the rev limiter real quick and should be noticeable.

thats true

And yes Mike will loose some velocity with a hesitation between shifts, as the the nose of the car should drop some if there is a hesitation. however the momentum loss will be very slight.

Honestly Mike, something is certainly amiss...i make 100 less RWHP and we are trapping close to the same.

I just hope it isn't anything major

Mike this is straight from Ken C at KB

What was causing the hesitation is exactly what I said it was - a high fuel pressure spike at the shifts, then an extreme drop in fuel pressure causing a lean spike. The EEC tries to correct for it, but it's too slow (in terms of computing time) to cure it, hence, a hesitation occurs.

It has NOTHING to do with tip-in spark retard, slipping clutches, belts, etc.. After trying several options with the BAP, I found nothing would pass the Kenne Bell standard for a total "cure". No time delay circuit, adjustment to the boost switch, etc. would make the problem "disappear" completely. We could have probably passed off one of these methods, but it just was not acceptable. After many dyno and street pulls, the correction was found possible within the tune.
