Hmmm the pump didn't run at all. I shut off the battery switch that day until I had a chance to ask him some questions about why it wouldn't run.
He also told me that because it was wired incorrectly and allowed to run contiuously that fried part of it then I had corrected the wiring and after a long period of time it overheated and melted the resin.
Yet again that isn't what happen. I was there I know when the power was turned on and for how long. I was the one who was there.
He is the one who is being presumtuous by telling me that my 'story' doesn't make sense and that his story(facts) does. WOW I didn't know he was standing right next to me taking notes in my garage. He should have grabbed the fire extinguisher or flipped the battery switch off.
If I can wire up some relays I think I can handle following those directions to hook up the controller. I think the relays are a little harder to do.

Remember Bryan, it could be a bad temp sensor also. Since that could be bad, you thought the unit was bad and started to look for the problem and could have crossed some wires without knowing it. I know if I had a new unit Icould get it working...:D

I'm not taking any more chance with that unprofessional jerk. I sent the controller and both temp probes back. I would never buy from him again and if anyone posts a question about wether or not to buy from him, you can quess what my response will be.
I will eventually try the SPAL unit. Im sure that comes with a better guarentee and customer service.

those things can't be too expensive so go with a new one and new gaskets. If you want one with some bling than you could probably find a polished one on Ebay.

he doesn't want to. he has used a couple of different excuses as to why "I" screwed it up. At first he insisted that I put a jumper across the two pins that you are not supposed to jump. You have read the other excuse already.
I haven't heard from the credit card company yet. I did save all the emails that i sent to him and all the responses that he sent to me.
I'm sure he will be furious when the credit card company asks for the money back. Then he might be stupid enough to send me a really nasty email.

I got screwing around w/ it last night, trying to find a vaccum leak, because I'm only reading 14 inches at a high (1k) idle, but couldn't find one, but I did notice that the idle seems to surge when the cooling fan is on. :shrug:

I'm beginning to think it has to do w/ my cel for the evap canistor/ purge valve.
