Ive noticed that to bryan on quite a few items. By the time you pay shipping it costs more then if you had gone and bought it new. What have you been watching on there? Yeah the delte looks pretty good just wont be put in anytime soon.

Over the past few weeks I have been searching for a used fender roller. New they are $224 on Ebay from Eastwood. I still can't believe some moron didn't do a search on Ebay before they bought the used one for over $240.
Been working on the car a little today. Took apart part of the console so I can replace the lower shifter boot. Waiting for the silicone to dry before I bolt it down.
Also ripped off the cheese grater tail light lenses. Changing the lenses over to cobra pieces because they are much better looking. Would have completed that today if both of the CORRECT lenses had shown up. The left side went back yesterday because it wasn't the cobra piece.
Who made your rear seat delete? There is a company called Dezines, I think that is the name, that makes some real nice stuff with lots of options. They can make the enclosure hold a amp, nitrous bottle, lights, storage, ect.

need to get back into a mustang
hey whats up guys. havent been on in a long time. long and miserable winter. well i sold the cobra this past october and now im thinking i want to get into a fox. i prefer the looks of the gt's over the notches. i prefer to pick one up all built. looking to get around 420-450 to the tire with all the goodies to hold the power in one piece. will be a daily driver with some track action. you can find some here and there pretty well built up, but to me its risky (i would assume they would have been driven hard...hence building it in the first place). are there any shops or builders out there? i know very little about the foxes. i learn a little every day. looking to spend around 10k. thanks alot, i appreciate all your input

RNH performance builds some great motors if thats the route you want to take. If you want to go down to the track after it opens up let me know, I plan on going down a lot this year.
Quite a few guys on this site have had motors built by him and have great things to say about his work. I was going to go w/ him before I decided to go a different route and ended up getting the Mustang I have now.

I'll keep a eye open. You could try contacting a member here called Denny1610. He owns Denny's Autobody in Shapleigh. Great guy. I know he occasionally buys and sells foxes plus he really know his stuff. He is a racer in Factory Stock class and he is having a Pro 5.0 car built right now. If he doesn't have anything he might be able to put up in touch with a buddy who does, like Eric Laferriea(sp.) down in Mass.

thanks for the input guys. basically im looking to buy a car with everything done. im just trying to avoid buying someones beat up joyride. anyone can sound like they know what they are talking about online. thing is, i cannot differentiate the poser and the real deal. dont know enough about the foxes. forums are helping and im learning every night. ill be able to afford the payment of the car, but i wont be able to fork out 1k plus to fix stuff from buying an abused car. right now i found a steal for a TT fox. seems legit, just not positive if the t-5 trans and aluminum drive shaft will hold up (keep in mind i dont know really anything about foxes and what they need for big power). turbos were in front of front tires and the engine bay was emaculate. car has been for sale since last nov. couple buyers fell through, seems like no one came up with the money. car is in PA some im trying to look everything up and double check everything. thanks again for all the replies. appreciate your insight and advice

Its hard to tell from the dumb ass's that just beat the hell out of a car and the ones that were built up with knowledge behind it. It helps to have a lot of communication before making the sale. I bout my mustang now site unseen for the most part and I flew down to FL to get it w/ out ever seeing it in person before hand. Turned out the car was everything the owner said it was. I could have not bought it and just returned the check to the bank and not do the loan but id still be out a plane ticket down to FL and having to buy one to get back b/c it was a one way ticket.
You just have to use your best judgement, thats the one down fall of buying an already built car is that you really dont honestly know that much about it where as if you buy a mostly stock or un modded car and do it all yourself you are that much more knowledgeable about the car. I hope you find something soon would be cool to head down and do some track time in N.H this summer.

there might be legit reasons why it hasn't sold. One huge reason could be price in such a crappy economy. Don't be in a rush. Spend your time shopping because there are plenty of nice cars out there and sellers who really need the money due to the crap economy. Another website to shop at is http://www.turbomustangs.com/. Sign up as a member and you can access the for sale forums. You will find some nice cars in there.
Oh and one more thing...NO the T5 will not hold up to a lot of abuse! I took mine out last year before it had the chance to die on me. It will only take so much powershifting or torque before it dies on you. Don't worry about the aluminum driveshaft that is what I have and plenty of other people have upgraded to that also.

i agree that patience is key when buying a vehicle. ive learned that more and more each time i purchase one. when i was looking to buy the cobra, i found many in the midwest and south and nearly bought one out of michigan. after lots of searching i bought one 1.5 hours away. i also agree that communication between prospective buyer and seller is important. you can usually get a feel from the seller how the car was treated. you should be able to tell when someone is giving bs or the truth. here are some specs on the car i found. from what i gathered, all sales fell through do to people not having the cash to buy. things that i noticed that seemed weird were the stock t-5 (unless its built but not listed), a turbo timer-is this really necessary?, bov?, and the aluminum drive shaft which you guys commented on. there were several pics and car is a nice lamborghini silver color (not perfect but nice). has chrome saleens in good tires. what else that i liked was that it was at 420rwhp, which is right where i want to be. maybe alittle more in the future, but until i can throw money at the supporting parts to hold up to the power, i would rather stay at a safe power level. this car could easily make over 600wrhp by upping the boost. all comments online said the seller was very nice and open about discussion. selling to make room for another project. was listed through a friend but the seller's phone number was listed. he also made a few comments, just doesnt spend much time at all on computer.
im also trying to sell my truck to make more room for the fox (2004 silverado 2500hd with 65500 miles) if you know anyone looking. thanks guys and sorry this was so long. appreciate all your help

thats quite the list of mods but it sounds as though it was built well. There may be no other reason for the other people backing out other then the fact thaty they did not have the money, thats exactly why the Mustang I have now was for sale for almost a year before I got it. There was another guy he was talking to that wanted to buy it and it was close to a done deal and at the last min it feel through as with did much of the other people who were looking at it. I just came around at the right time to get it and when it really needed to be sold so the price was lowered.

i def agree with you about how you can find great deals. the " if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is" is the case most of the time. but esp right now with the economy the way it is, there are deals to be made. thats what sucks. the thing about this car or another thats a good distance away, is that i would need to purchase a one way trip and look at the car and decide yay or nay. not being mechanically inclined, im at a disadvantage. test driving and making a 800 mile trip home are 2 totally different things. would love to be able to fly a mustang gearhead down and make the trip with me, but a) i dont know of one and b) thats another expense i would have to cover.
anyway i need to sell my truck before i can make any move (selling a snowmobile too if you know anyone looking $3000). i also found a 1993 gt owned by a performance shop in NH with 70k miles h/c/i and other add ons, 300 to the ground, he said no less than 10k. anyway, there will be options.
