Stalker has the best fit out there and requires minimum prep. I did my own painting and it only required light sanding. although the sideskirts sucked, it was hard as hell to prep. It was too smooth of a plastic, not even abs.

If you have a body shop prep and paint and install it it could be around $1000 or more for good work. Just to get a hood, fender, and new bumper cover painted for my old '96 I got charged almost $2500. However they are the only shop around I would let paint my car. Their work was immaculate. Whatever you do make sure you check the shops work. Look at a car they have painted and look at it good. You want to make sure your hard earned dollars go to good work so you can spend more money on modding later rather than going back to repaint your body kit.

The only thing I've had painted on my car was the Saleen S281 spoiler, which I got done for $75. I had quotes for it as high as $250 (from the local Ford dealer ) and other shops were mostly in the $125-150 area. The same guy that did my spoiler also painted the bumper and spoiler on my Dad's 95 Impala SS, and did great work once again. I think he charged my Dad something between $200-300.

He's cheap and does great work, even on the crappy Saleen products. He fixed nearly ALL the pinholes in it, and it came out wonderfully. When I finally can afford the rest of the bodykit, I wouldn't hesitate to go back to him. He already told me he could paint the bodykit for $500 and then help me install for free.

Just have the body shop do everything, paint, prep, and install. All that should cost no more than 2000

i have the whole stalker kit. havent yet painted it. It fits next to perfectly. Cervinis hit the nail on the head with this one. When it comes it is bare urethane...As for what i just read about the sideskirts....i dont know what you bought but my side skirts are made of the same stuff as the bumpers and side scoops. If u want the job done right paint each piece individually before u put them on the car and then paint the car. Its gonna cost alot more but will look 100 times better. I have been quoted anywhere from $2000-$4000. To paint urethan properly it needs to be prepped properly or ur paint will start cracking 6 months down the road. It needs to be sanded. It cant just simply be primed , u need to buy adhesion activator, uethane primer with flex addative, urethane paints and urethane clearcoat. it gets costly. But like everything else....u get what u pay for.
