sorry i am a dumbass what does it do actually i have a 95 auto and everyone is telling me it will take 3 tenths oss my quarter, so could someone please help me out and tell me what they do?

Transfers the power of the rotating flywheel to the drive shaft, turning the wheels.

It takes HP produced by the engine to spin it...The stocker is big and bulky..After market ones are smaller and lighter, and rob less of the motor power in order to spin it.
