Just wanted to provide an update for anyone who's been battling that fantastic stalling/rough idle issue. I've been chasing mine for months since the purchase of my 5.0. I figured I'd gloat a bit and tell everyone that my car is running much better now!
The culprit ended up being my disconnected EGR. It was supposedly malfunctioning, so it was disconnected and the lines were plugged off. As a last ditch, 5 minute test effort, I decided to plug back in the EGR, and so far my CEL has been gone ever since, and my car hasn't stalled ONCE. The idle's super smooth, and I'm happy as can be, and ready to work out other little issues then get started on the go fast mods.
