Ok, my car's slammed with 2 1/2" drop springs right now and the ride suckscrapola , plus I can't tuck a big tire. I've got 18x9 Cobra R's right now and this summer I want to raise the car back up.

Does anyone have pics of your cars with stock springs? Or even 1" drop? I wanna get a feel for what mine'll look like with the 18s and stock height.

I'll post up a link in a few minutes to my car

Stockers:

If you can afford it, I would still recommend going with lowering springs. I just put in the Eibach Pro-Kit and what an amazing difference. Even 18" wheels need help filling up that wheel well space. I don't have pictures because the car is filthy and don't her to post her looking like she is.

Yeah, I'm thinking I might go with the eibach pro kit, but I want to be able to fit as much tire as possible...

Sorry, I forgot you had to log in. I'll try to get pics up tonight.

Load the pics up on Photobucket. We can't view them without logging into facebook.

I have no problems running 265 wide up front and 295 wide out back. 18x9" up front and 18x10" in the rear with the 1.5" drop the Pro-Kit offers.

That drop is low man, for sure.

There are lots of pictures on here of people with pretty much any available spring set you can find. Take a look around, read reviews, and see what you think would be best for you.

the biggest reason for raising the car up is that I only have 235s up front and they rub real bad but I want to run either a 255 or 265 up front and a 295 out back

235s shouldn't be rubbing at all

What offset wheels do you run? Cause they sound incorrect.

My car is dropped on Sportlines/AGXs, full poly everything, c/c plates and the works

I run 275s UP FRONT with a 285 in the rear (and I want to go 305s)

I BARELY rub at all at full opposite lock and only when turning right due to the angled down splash panel on the drivers side.

If you're rubbing 235s something is wrong.

Sorry, not sure why the pics won't get bigger.

I'm not sure of the offset, I got the car in the middle of my freshman year in college, so I haven't had time to get in there and measure everything.

I'm planning on Eibach Pro kit and AGXs.

HankyGT, what color is your car? It's gorgeous! You've got the wheels I want too

Do you have caster/camber plates? Happen to trim that drivers splash panel?

Thanks! The color is called Vibrant Red. I guess it's a pretty rare color. I love my silver FR500s They look real clean classy when matched correctly. I always thought the other color options, although cool looking, were always a bit overstated.

Like others have said, there has to be something going on got 235s to give you issues.

You cant recieve PMs for some reason.

I really like the sportlines on this car. I've a set for my T/A and the rates just aren't there for the drop, but the stang has the nicest ride I've ever had in a car. TONS better than stock when paired with the AGXs and it actually handles pretty damn good. ( have had the car at open track sessions at Nelsons Ledges )

I would totally recommend them, but do the rest of the suspension too to best compliement them. I run full poly front and rear, ULCAs, c/c plates, bumpsteer, etc...

Thanks for the complients!

No, I don't have cc plates and I know I need them, so those will go on this summer.

The car sits so low that the stock struts only travel about an inch to an inch and a half, plus they're worn out, so they're like riding on pogo sticks. When I push down on the fender, I can almost get the tire to touch the inner with the wheels straigh

Another thing that dawned on me this morning is that the wheels are also hitting the control arms a bit. When you look under the car, you can clearly see where they are rubbing, so I guess the offset is wrong...

So between the ride height, worn out shocks/struts, lack of cc plates and bumpsteer, and wrong wheels, my car's just plain screwed up

Ok, so I guess the Eibach pro kit, KYB AGXs, cc plates, maybe a bumpsteer kit (although you shouldn't need it with that little bit of drop right?) and new FR500s is the way to go this summer

Keep the pics coming, let's see those beautiful cars!!:SNSign:

Hey HankyGT, how's the ride on your car? I really like the low stance....any trouble scraping anywhere?

Mine is dropped 2" and I run 275's on the front. I noticed last time I had the front wheels off the car, the driver's side inner fender had some light scuff marks from the tire at full-lock turning, but nothing to worry about. Before, when I had 255's on there, even with worn-out struts, it never rubbed anything. So as you likely already figured, something's out of whack.
I'm just wondering how you got a 235 on a 9" wheel must look streeeeeetched

Yeah, I didn't do it, it was the guy I bought the car from...the 235s are SERIOUSLY too skinny.

I'm running 265s up front on a 9" wide wheel and really have had no issues.
I'm running 275's out back (soon to be wider) on a 10" wide wheel).
