After I swapped the 96 engine for the 01, my car ran like a beast. I've been running it for a couple of months with no problems. I decided to change out the spark plugs for no good reason besides them having 82k on them. They where motorcrafts & replaced with motorcrafts. The car felt very sluggish for about two days & slowly started coming back around to almost perfect again. The problem is if I launch the car from a dead stop it will burn the tires bad & spin about 3ft when I shift to second. When I go from second to third the car kinda slugs down to about 5300rpms then picks back up strong. If I'm rolling in third gear and punch it, it runs perfect no issues. It's just the speed shift from second to third. The car was very consistant before the spark plug change. The car is completely tuned up. I unplugged the computer for 15 minutes to try & reset it but it runs the same. Also no check engine light.

This morning it's doing the slug thing from first to second. It went from spinning about 3ft when shifting into second to falling on its face. Now the second to third shifts are acting correctly. When driving around and slowly pulling it thru the gears it runs 100%. Any suggestions????

Problem solved!! The vac line to the fuel pressure regulator was broken at the regulator. Must have broken it while changing the plugs. Back to normal.
