Stang counds like a chevy!

I just put on a Mac off road H-pipe on my motsly stock 95' GT. I have stock headers and catback. after the install it sounds like an old chevy truck. Anyone else have this prob?????

My buddy had stock mufflers with an h-pipe and it sounded ok. The Exhaust just sounded corked too me. I kinda see what you mean though. Could have been worse. It could have sounded like flowmasters?

I remember when I bought my mustang the previous owner took out the mufflers and it sounded like crap too. Some people just don't understand what a good exhaust sounds like.

my car sounded really good with just an h-pipe. Then a bought my bassani and then WOW.

Well I fixed it. I had to get some grade 8 bolts because the others were slipping. I also had to get me some gaskets with he aluminum ring in it. Put it all together and it sounds great! Headers and a cat back are on the "to do" list. Thanks guys! oh..no old chevy for me! My pops got a 72' that he's working on with a 350. pretty nice truck. I'll stick to the stangs.

Once at band camp, I sucked a Chevy up in my intake, and my Mustang sounded like a Dodge for a while untill it spit the remains out the tail pipes!
