Stang drifts to the right

Ive tried everything, new caster/chamber plates, bumpsteer kit, alignment(the car shows that its in perfect alignment, and ive gone to two mechanics who specialize in it), rotate tires, mess with tire pressure etc. But the damn thing still dirfts to the right when i let go of the steering wheel, whats wrong? What must i fix? Its driving me Fking crazy, this was happening even before i lowered the stang with hr ss springs

Do you have the alignment specifcations that your car is aligned to? And not to question you, but this is on a level surface, not a road with a significant crown, correct?

yes to both of those quesitons, it pisses me off the cars only got 37k miles on it. like i said this was happening even before i lowered it but never really payed to much attention, but i think its time for me to fix the damn issue.

Could you post up the alignment specs? I'll admit that I won't be able to make heads or tails of them, but someone here most certainly will be able to.

If i can find em, i can tell u this i dont think its an alignment issue, i know that all of my wheels alignment, caster chamber etc etc are in the green including the wheel, anything else u could think of?

isnt there some procedure to reset the steering back to center? what i am talking about is some process while in neutral, you turn the wheel all the way to the left and then all the way to the right and back again or something. I had to do this when i changed my steering wheel. hopefully someone knows what i am talking about that can offer a little more detail.

The steering wheel is centered, when im driving straight the steering wheel is at zero degrees rotation but when i let go it slowly drifts to the right and so does the steering wheel

Make sure you don't have a brake caliber sticking issue. If you have a sticking brake it will cause the car to pull in the direction of the sticking brake as it trys to slow that side of the car. You can check this two ways: after driving the car see if one brake is hotter than the other, or you can jack up the front and spin the wheel by hand and see if there is noticable drag on one wheel vs the other.

My car would drift to the right a number of years ago. Dealer looked at it and said I had a faulty ABS wheel speed sensor on the right side. Replaced under warranty, problem solved.

In my experience an alignment tech will only do his job properly 1 out of every 5 times. So you may THINK you got it aligned when actually, not so much...

If your breaks are faulty and that is the problem just drive 'bout 30 mph and hit the breaks, if turns to the right or the left then its the breaks!

post up the specs, i can tell you the problem.

just because it is "green" doesnt mean it is good. if the tech knows what he is doing he can make anything appear to be good.

I am an alignment tech, try to rotate you tires and see what happens. Works for me every day. Tires tend to have high and low spots even new ones.

he already rotated the tires. it sounds like the cross caster isnt right

They are called BRAKES, not BREAKS! This isn't the only thread that you've spelled it that way...not trying to bust your balls or nothin', but geez dude...

Do you know the history of the car? Are you the original owner? (Possibly wrecked?) Don't trust CarFax...occasionally it will give you the information you want, but most times it's useless. It's only as good as its sources, and apparently its sources aren't very good.

Did they do a 4 wheel alignment? Even though the rear isn't adjustable, it can be out of alignment and cause dog tracking. Something in the rear could be loose or bent and it will cause the car to pull or drift to one side.

Dog tracking (thrust angle), sticking caliper or lower caster on that side could all be the problem. I would look closely at those first.

the cross SAI can also cause a pull.
